Over view

  Seoraksan National Park was designated the 5th national park in Korea in 1970 and chosen as a nature preservation area on November 5, 1965. Located in the East-Central of the Korean peninsula, the total area of Seoraksan National Park is about 400sqkm. Its main peak, Daecheongbong, reaches 1,708m above sea level.  Seoraksan has a total of 30 different peaks spread across the entire area. It boasts of an ecosystem consisting of over 2,000 animal species and more than 1,400 rare plant species, making the national park a distinct pride of the country’s natural heritage.

What You Can Expect

  This tour brings you to the peak of Seoraksan called 'Daecheongbong', one of the most visited peaks in Korea and the dramatic landscapes of the Seorak range.

 

  You will have the opportunity to visit a Buddhist temple of the Jogye Order, which also offers a temple stay experience if you have that extra day to spare on your journey.  

 

  You will be picked up early in the morning from your accommodation and drive towards the trailhead. Along the way, we can have a brief tour of the area and experience local culture.

 

  Sokcho is a must-see after or before the hike. Sokcho is a city in Gangwon-do province. It is located in the far northeast of Gangwon-do. The city belonged to North Korea from 1945 until the end of the Korean War. This tour combines a good work-out, breath-taking mountain landscapes, the serenity of Buddhism culture and well-deserved mouth-watering Korean cuisine.

 

Note : Travel and trekking insurance is not included in the tour. Outdoors Korea will not accept responsibility if the participant has health issues or disabilities which were not disclosed  at the time of booking.  Outdoors Korea also has the right to reject bookings if a participant is found to be unfit to trek  . 

Cancellation Policy

  If you cancel at least 15 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.If you cancel between 7 and 14 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee.If you cancel within 6 days of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
